Circulatory system of pilgrims ascending and descending the trail
From
a distance the pilgrims themselves resemble a river, a circulatory system
flowing upl and down the trail. As they pass by one another, one often
hears a refrain of "Jai Mata Di" (Victory to the Mother) as
a gesture of good will to others on the way.
