7 ²³ If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath in order that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I healed a man's whole body on the sabbath?
7 ²⁸ Then Jesus cried out as he was teaching in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I am from?"
8 ²⁵ ... Jesus said to them, "Why do I speak to you at all?"
8 ⁴² Jesus said to them, "... ⁴³ Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot accept my word."
8 46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
10 ³² Jesus replied, "I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these are you going to stone me?"
10 ³⁴ Jesus answered, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are gods'? ³⁵ If those to whom the word of God came were called 'gods' and the scripture cannot be annulled, ³⁶ can you say that the one whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world is blaspheming because I said, 'I am God's Son'?"
18 ⁴ Then Jesus, knowing all that was to happen to him, came forward and asked them, "Whom are you looking for?"
18 ⁷ Again he asked them, "Whom are you looking for?"
18 ¹⁹ Then the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ²⁰ Jesus answered, "I have spoken openly to the world; I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret. ²¹ Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said to them; they know what I said."
18 ²³ Jesus answered, "If I have spoken wrongly, testify to the wrong. But if I have spoken rightly, why do you strike me?"

Questions Disciples ask Jesus

1 ³⁸ They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
4 ²⁷ Just then his disciples came. They were astonished that he was speaking with a woman, but no one said, "What do you want?" or, "Why are you speaking with her?"
6 ⁹ There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?
6 ⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom can we go?"
9 ² His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 11 ⁸ The disciples said to him, "Rabbi, the Jews were just now trying to stone you, and are you going there again?"
12 ⁴ But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said, ⁵ "Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?"
13 ²⁵ So while reclining next to Jesus, he [the beloved disciple] asked him, "Lord, who is it [who will betray you]?"
13 ³⁶ Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going, you cannot follow me now; but you will follow afterward." ³⁷ Peter said to him, "Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you." ³⁸ Jesus answered, "Will you lay down your life for me?"
14 ⁵ Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?"
21 ¹² Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they knew it was the Lord.
