7 23 If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath in order that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I healed a man's whole body on the sabbath?
7 28 Then Jesus cried out as he was teaching in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I am from?"
8 25 ... Jesus said to them, "Why do I speak to you at all?"
8 42 Jesus said to them, "... 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot accept my word."
8 46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
10 32 Jesus replied, "I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these are you going to stone me?"
10 34 Jesus answered, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are gods'? 35 If those to whom the word of God came were called 'gods' and the scripture cannot be annulled, 36 can you say that the one whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world is blaspheming because I said, 'I am God's Son'?"
18 4 Then Jesus, knowing all that was to happen to him, came forward and asked them, "Whom are you looking for?"
18 7 Again he asked them, "Whom are you looking for?"
18 19 Then the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. 20 Jesus answered, "I have spoken openly to the world; I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret. 21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said to them; they know what I said."
18 23 Jesus answered, "If I have spoken wrongly, testify to the wrong. But if I have spoken rightly, why do you strike me?"
Questions Disciples ask Jesus
1 38 They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
4 27 Just then his disciples came. They were astonished that he was speaking with a woman, but no one said, "What do you want?" or, "Why are you speaking with her?"
6 9 There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?
6 68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom can we go?"
9 2 His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
11 8 The disciples said to him, "Rabbi, the Jews were just now trying to stone you, and are you going there again?"
12 4 But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said, 5 "Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?"
13 25 So while reclining next to Jesus, he [the beloved disciple] asked him, "Lord, who is it [who will betray you]?"
13 36 Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going, you cannot follow me now; but you will follow afterward." 37 Peter said to him, "Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you." 38 Jesus answered, "Will you lay down your life for me?"
14 5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?"
21 12 Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they knew it was the Lord.
