21 20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; he was the one who had reclined next to Jesus at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?" 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord, what about him?"

Questions Jews ask Jesus

2 18 The Jews then said to him, "What sign can you show us for doing this [disrupting the temple]?"
2 20 The Jews then said, "This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?"
8 5 [Scribes and Pharisees said,] "Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"
8 19 Then they said to him, "Where is your Father?"
8 25 They said to him, "Who are you?"
8 33 They answered him, "We are descendants of Abraham and have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean by saying, 'You will be made free'?"
8 48 The Jews answered him, "Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?"
8 53 "Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets also died. Who do you claim to be?"
8 57 Then the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"
10 24 So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly."
9 40 Some of the Pharisees near him heard this and said to him, "Surely we are not blind, are we?"
18 22 When he had said this, one of the police standing nearby struck Jesus on the face, saying, "Is that how you answer the high priest?"
